Security Disability Resource Center
for Veterans

Many veterans will have the need to file for Social Security Disability benefits. The Social Security and Disability Resource Center website (www.ssdrc.com) provides answers to questions concerning how to apply for disability, how to appeal a claim in the event of a denial, how to navigate the federal system, and how to avoid certain mistakes that are commonly made by applicants filing for either SSD (social security disability) or SSI (supplemental security income) benefits.

Tim Moore is a former claims examiner for the Social Security Administration's disability determination services (DDS), as well as a former caseworker with a background in many federal assistance programs, including medicaid for disabled adults. He is the author of My Disability Blog, a disability blog which is devoted to answering questions about social security disability and SSI, and has been interviewed by the New York Times in an article entitled The Disability Mess.
